Who we are
At Birch Ridge Community Church, we are not too interested in looking and acting like a "church." We simply want to do whatever we can to help people know and experience God through Jesus Christ. If we didn't believe that God is who He said He is, that He loves us, and that He has the answer to life's dilemmas, we wouldn't bother. But we do believe those things, and so we are determined to live and use our lives in a manner that gives God glory and gives people a picture of who Jesus Christ really is.
Where we come from
Birch Ridge Community Church (originally called Community Wesleyan Church) started in 1983 in the home of Joe & Jean Koski. Our founding pastor, Brad Snyder, desired to start a Wesleyan Church in the Soldotna/Kenai area. After many years, several different buildings, and amazing pastoral leadership, we moved to the Echo Lake area in 2009. God is doing great things in and through Birch Ridge and we look forward to all that He has for our future!
Where we're headed
Our goal at Birch Ridge is that those who are curious about Jesus, and those who are hostile towards Jesus, can have a safe place to come and investigate His claims. We also strive to provide an atmosphere of worship, learning, and friendship for those who are endeavoring to be completely committed Christ-followers. We know it is not easy to "do church" this way, but that is exactly what we are setting out to do. We are simply trying to make Jesus as available as possible to as many people as possible.
